Hi there, I’m John!
J tutor of math and science, who found his love for tutoring by helping fellow college students at New Mexico Tech. He is still a student, himself, working on his last year of undergrad in pursuit of his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He began working for the college three years ago at the Office of Student Learning, and he has since expanded his student base to middle and high school students as a contractor for Learning Plus Tutoring. John is experienced in tutoring and remediation, consisting of both one-on-one and small-group sessions with students of varied learning styles. Identifying confusion, stimulating student discovery, and building rapport are his biggest strong suits. While he is most experienced with math and science tutoring, he also has experience assisting with reading and writing comprehension for middle and high school students.
