Our Story
Open Doors Academy (ODA) is a vocational private high school that was founded in 2017. ODA offers personalized curriculums for each student (Academic, Athletic, and Vocational). Parents and Students decide which pathway best suits them. In addition to the individualized pathways we require the same basic core classes needed for graduation at any public high school. ODA is dedicated to providing a high quality customized education.

Founder & President
Meet the Founder
Jennell has over 10 years of teaching experience in various roles and is the president of Open Doors Academy. Over the last several years, she has served as a substitute, intern, and a mathematics teacher in the North Carolina area. Her educational training experience includes her ability to plan and implement curriculum for a variety of courses for students at a variety of academic levels. In her role as President, she leads the strategic development and management of all educational resources distributed to students through Open Doors Academy.
Jennell has a B.S. (Bachelor of Science) in Math Education and a Masters in Administration & Curriculum Instruction from East Carolina University.
